Maria Lewis
Maria Lewis in the author of the Who's Afraid? series, which is published worldwide and currently being adapted for television by Hoodlum Entertainment. Previously seen on nightly news program The Feed on SBS, her work as a journalist has also appeared in the New York Post, Empire Magazine, Penthouse, The Daily Mail and many more. She's the host and producer of the Eff Yeah Film & Feminism podcast.
Pascalle Burton
Pascalle Burton is an experimental poet, artist and performer with an interest in conceptual art and cultural theory. Her collection About the Author is Dead is available from Cordite Books and has been shortlisted for the 2019 Mary Gilmore Award. Other projects include UN/SPOOL(with Nathan Shepherdson), 24 HOUR GYM (with Tessa Rose), The Outlandish Watch (with David Stavanger and Nathan Shepherdson) and performing in the band The Stress of Leisure.
Amie Kaufman
Amie Kaufman is a New York Times and internationally bestselling author of young adult fiction. Her multi-award winning work is slated for publication in 30 countries, and has been described as “a game-changer” (Shelf Awareness), “stylistically mesmerising” (Publishers Weekly) and “out-of-this-world awesome” (Kirkus). Her latest series, co-authored with Jay Kristoff, began in 2015 with the international bestseller Illuminae and continued with the international bestseller Gemina. Film rights have been acquired by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment. The New York Times bestselling Starbound trilogy, co-authored with Meagan Spooner, began with These Broken Stars in 2013, and continued with This Shattered World and Their Fractured Light. Film rights have been acquired by Off The Grid and MGM. Raised in Australia and Ireland, Amie has degrees in history, literature, law and conflict resolution, and once got to work as a storytelling consultant at NASA. She lives in Melbourne with her husband, their rescue dog, and an extremely large personal library.
Krissy Kneen
Krissy Kneen is the award-winning author of memoir—Affection—and fiction: Wintering, An Uncertain Grace, Steeplechase, Triptych, The Adventures of Holly White and the Incredible Sex Machine, as well as the Thomas Shapcott Award-winning poetry collection Eating My Grandmother. She has written and directed broadcast documentaries for SBS and ABC Television.
Jackie Ryan
Jackie Ryan is the author of We’ll Show the World: Expo 88 (UQP). She produces the Aurealis Award-winning Burger Force comic book series and is the founding editor of comedy writing collective the Fanciful Fiction Auxiliary. The websites for these projects have been archived by the National Library of Australia as sites of cultural significance.
She holds a PhD in history and political science from The University of Queensland, where she was an Honorary Research Fellow.
