Aoife Clifford’s novel Second Sight will be published in July 2018. Her best-selling first novel All These Perfect Strangers was long listed for the Australian Industry General Fiction Book of the Year and the Voss Literary Prize.
Her short stories have been published in Australia, United Kingdom and the United States and she has won the two premier short story competition for crime fiction in Australia – the Scarlet Stiletto and S.D.Harvey Ned Kelly Award among other prizes. She has also been short listed for the UK Crime Association’s Debut Dagger. In 2014 she was awarded an Australian Society of Authors mentorship for her novel, All These Perfect Strangers.
Born in London of Irish parents, she grew up in New South Wales, studied Arts/Law at the Australian National University, Canberra and now lives in Melbourne.
Denise Mina (UK)
Scottish novelist Denise Mina has published 12 novels and also writes short stories, plays and graphic novels.
In 2014 she was inducted into the Crime Writers’ Association Hall of Fame.
Denise presents TV and radio programmes as well as regularly appearing in the media, and has made a film about her own family.
She regularly appears at literary festivals in the UK and abroad, leads masterclasses on writing and was a judge for the Bailey’s Prize for Women’s Fiction 2014.
